Data Sources

VIIRS 30min

Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20 polar overpasses. High 375m resolution, but only 1 to 2 daytime passes a day over southern Africa.

MSG

Meteosat Second Generation. Geostationary, fresh imagery every 15 minutes. Coarser resolution than VIIRS but always-on continuous coverage.

MTG

Meteosat Third Generation. Next-generation geostationary imager with a 10 minute cadence. Premium-only by default, available to other tiers on request.
